On the match:
"Of course we are disappointed. We wanted to win. But our defence and goalkeeping was not strong enough in the crucial parts of the match. It is good that we only have two days until the next as we need to play."
Lois Abbingh (NED) - left back
About their defeat:
"I think we started pretty well but the Germans already came back in the first half. Today I think we didn’t have the mentality to break them when we had the chance.
"We knew that they would fight during 60 minutes but still we didn’t do a great job in the second half. We missed too many chances in front of the goalkeeper to get 5 or 6 goals ahead."
On the next matches::
"Everyone is disappointed but we have to continue because we have another match in two days and we have to win both games left if we want to have a chance in the main round."

On lsoing to Germany:
"I really don’t know what happened. We didn’t fight enough, especially in the second half. We prepared very well I think and we didn’t underestimated our opponent.
"Of course, Germany didn’t play the Olympics but also the other teams have the same problem. Every one is a little bit tired; it’s the reason why we lost today. We really didn’t fight enough."

On giving away a lead in the second half:
"In the second half we shot really bad. We had some chances to make the differerence bigger. We didn't take them and then they came back."
"We made some terrible mistakes in the defence and they got some easy goals."
