Estevana Polman har semifinale fornemelse
Holland har været det helt store positive overraskelse ved denne slutrunde. Tidligere er deres defensive problemer og manglende bredde blevet udstillet, men sådan er det ikke går hidtil og Estevana Polman har en rigtig god fornemmelse, inden dages vigtige kamp mod Montenegro, hun siger følgende til de unge rapportere fra EHF:
On the Netherlands' performance at the Women’s EHF EURO 2014:
"It’s a great tournament! We are so happy to be here. We are enjoying the experience and the good results we have. We didn’t have a plan to achieve something at this championship - from the very start we were going one game at a time, and that’s what got us so far."
"We have played well, and now we win our first game in the main round. I have this 'we can go to the semi-final feel'. We will be even better in every coming match."
"We have been a little bit of surprise for everyone here, and I hope we will continue to do so, and go into the semi-final."
On the team spirit:
We look forward to every game at the EURO. This is a good win for us. I think we will celebrate this victory tonight, not too much, only a little. We have a great deal of happiness in our team. Our spirit will be great regardless of the result.
On the Netherlands' style of play:
We are a running team, and we like our fast style of play. Our players are all over the court at all times. We know we have to work hard, we are still very young.
